Robby Gordon enters the 2008 season as a driver-owner in Nextel Cup for
the
fourth year. Menards and Mapei will be co-sponsors of Gordon's #7
Ford
Fusion and will appear in a handful of events this season.
Gordon, from Southern California, has enjoyed success in every
racing
category he has competed. He won in the IndyCar, NASCAR Cup, Busch,
TransAM, SCORE Off-Road and IMSA Series in his career. In 2006, Gordon
captured both the Baja 500 and Baja 1000 races with his team
and finished a
very respectible eighth in the famous Dakar Rally. He is the only
American
to win a stage in a Dakar Rally, currently owning three wins
to date.
As a Nextel Cup driver, Gordon has three victories in his career,
but covets
his first win as a driver-owner
